AUTHORIZING A SCULPTURE GARDEN AT THE TOWN GOVERNMENT
CENTER
WHEREAS, the Loudoun Arts Council requests permission to install a sculpture garden at the
Town Government Center; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to promote the arts throughout the town.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Loudoun Arts Council is granted permission to install a sculpture garden in
the green space at the Loudoun Street entrance to the parking garage.
SECTION II. Town Council reserves final determination whether art sculptures are appropriate
for public display.
SECTION III. The Loudoun Arts Council will be fully responsible for installation and upkeep of
the sculptures and landscaping while the town will maintain the area including mowing and irrigation.
SECTION IV. The town will be held harmless for any damages to the sculptures.
SECTION V. The Loudoun Arts Council will provide the appropriate liability insurance and
name the town as an additional insured.
SECTION VI. The town reserves the right to have the Loudoun Arts Council remove the sculpture
garden at any time.
