AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF THE NORMAN I. MYERS,
TRUSTEE, VERSUS BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF LOUDOUN
COUNTY, ET. AL. CASE
WHEREAS, Norman I. Myers, Trustee, disputed previous years' county tax
assessments on their Loudoun Street property in Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, the Loudoun County Attorney's Office negotiated a settlement with
Norman I. Myers, Trustee, which reduced tax assessments on the property at 5 through 11
West Loudoun Street from $1,903,800 to $1,250,000 for 1992 and from $1,939,900 to
$1,250,000 for 1993; and
WHEREAS, the settlement did not change the assessments dated 1991 and 1994; and
WHEREAS, the settlement requires Loudoun County to refund $19,059 and
Leesburg to refund approximately $3,848 in taxes and interest.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The settlement of the Norman I. Myers, Trustee, versus Board of Supervisors of
Loudoun County, et. al. case proposed by the Loudoun County Attorney's Office in a letter
dated October 2, 1997, and described above is hereby approved.
