A.RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, APPOINTING A TIME AND
PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS IN RELATION TO THE
PROPOSED IMPROVEMENT REFERRED TO IN RESOLUTION
OF INTENTION NO. 69 -944 AND DIRECTING THE CLERK
OF SAID CITY COUNCIL TO GIVE NOTICE OF SAID
HEARING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City, Cali-
fornia, pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Lighting
Act of 1919" of the State of California (Part 1, Division 14
of Streets and Highways Code of the State of California) as
amended, ordered Krelle & Lewis, Inc., Consulting Engineers,
5817 Temple City Boulevard, Temple City, California, herein-
after Consulting: Engineers, to make and file with the Clerk
of said Council a report in writing presenting certain
matters relating to a proposed lighting installation, main-
tenance and service district in said City; and
WHEREAS, said Consulting Engineers, pursuant to said
law, did make and on the 2nd day of September, 1969, file in
the office of the City Clerk of said City, their report in
writing relating to the proposed lighting installation,
maintenance and service district in said City; and
WHEREAS, the said City Council has proceeded to care -
fully examine, inspect and consider the said report, and
is satisfied with said report and with each and all of
the various items thereof and the matters therein set forth; and
WHEREAS, after consideration of said report, said City
Council on the 2nd day of September, 1969, did adopt its
Resolution of Intention No. 69 -944 declaring its intention to
order certain lighting standards, fixtures and appliances on
certain streets and public places to be installed, maintained
and electric current to be furnished for lighting said fixtures,
said installation to occur as soon as reasonably possible and
lawful following the approval of the district and said fur-
nishing of electric current and maintenance to be for an
initial contract period of 20 years commencing January 1, 1970; and
WHEREAS, it now becomes the duty of this Council to appoint
a time and place for hearing protests in relation to the pro-
posed improvement referred to in said Resolution of Intention
No. 69 -944 and to direct the giving of notice of said hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY,
CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Thursday, the 25th day of September, 1969,
at the hour of 7 :30 o'clock P.M. of said day, be and the same
is hereby appointed as the time, and the. Council Chamber in the
City Hall of said City of Temple City, California, is hereby
appointed as the place for hearing protests in reference to
the said proposed improvement.
SECTION 2. That the Street Superintendent is hereby
authorized, designated and directed to give notice by posting
of said hearing in the time, form and manner as required by
law.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized, designated
and directed to give notice by publication and other manner if
required in the time, form and manner required by law.

SECTION 4. That the Temple City Times, a newspaper of
general circulation, published and circulated within said
City of Temple City, California, is hereby designated as
the newspaper in which such notice shall be published.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this Resolution.
