AMENDING THE TAXIWAY RELOCATION CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT PROJECT AND APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL
FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Town Council approved the Relocation of the Parallel Taxiway in the
1997-2001 Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, this project was a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved project and
the FAA indicated that the Town was programmed to receive $1,000,000; and
WHEREAS, the total project cost was $2,000,000 and was to be multi-year funded by the
FAA over a two year period; and
WHEREAS, the Town's cost would be 2% of the total grant amount or $20,000; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council appropriated $1,000,000 for the project and allocated
$20,000 in local funds; and
WHEREAS, the FAA has now indicated that they will fund the entire $2,000,000 project
in the 1998 Federal Fiscal Year; and
WHEREAS, the Town will need an additional $1,000,000 appropriation and $20,000 in
local share money to accept the grant offer.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. That an additional $1,000,000 is appropriated for the Taxiway Relocation
Project.

SECTION II.
$20,000 local share from the uncommitted general fund balance.
SECTION IH. That the town manager is authorized
agreement with the FAA in a form approved by the Town Attorney.
