Town of Leesburg Announces Special Meeting of Town Council
to Fill Vacant Town Council Seat
Leesburg, VA (December 30, 2011) – The Town of Leesburg Town Council will hold a special
meeting on Wednesday, January 4 , 2012, at 7:00 p.m., in the Town Council Chambers (25 West
Market Street) to select and appoint a temporary replacement to fill the seat vacated by Ken
Reid, who was elected to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors in November.
The appointment will run until a special election is held April 17, 2012, and the results are
certified. The winner of the April 17, 2012 special election will serve the remainder of Mr. Reid’s
term, which will expire December 31, 2014.
