A RESOLUTION:
PRESENTED January 27, 1998

MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE TREE COMMISSION
WHEREAS, Tree Commission members Michael Jackson and William Detweiler tendered
their resignations in January, 1998, and August, 1997, respectively; and
WHEREAS, an advertisement was placed in the Leesburg Today to solicit letters of
interest from town residents; and
WHEREAS, on January 21, 1998, the Town Council held imerviews of candidates
interested in serving on the Tree Commission.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. Victoria Bell is appointed to the Tree Commission to fill the unexpired term
of William Detweiler, whose term expires on June 30, 1998.
SECTION II. Anne M. Wall is appointed to the Tree Commission to fill the unexpired
term of Michael Jackson, whose term of office expires on June 30, 1999.
