SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING FOR TOWN CODE
AMENDMENTS REGARDING BLASTING
WHEREAS, on October 22, 1997, Town Council established and appointed members to
the Mayor's Committee on Blasting; and
WHEREAS, the committee consisted of Leesburg homeowners, members of the
construction and development community, the Loudoun County Fire Marshal and the Mayor;
and
WHEREAS, the committee met nine times between October 22, 1997, and January 29,
1998, when the committee forwarded its recommendation to the Town Council; and
WHEREAS, the committee recommended the Town Council hold an advertised public
hearing to solicit input on the proposed amendment to the Town Code; and
WHEREAS, March 24, 1998, was recommended as an appropriate date for the public
hearing.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
March 24, 1998, is hereby set for a duly advertised Town Council public hearing on the
Town Code amendments as proposed in the January 29, 1998, report by the Mayor's Committee
on Blasting.
