Michael Lach, Bill Reyburn, Rollie Bassett Guest: Gary Christen 1. The Meeting was called to Order at 4:00 PM by Chairman Carr. 2. Minutes: None to approve. 3. Discussion of Power Point for BBJ Cranberry Trust and Jorgenson Acquisitions. Suggestions were made to change photographs and some of the wording - otherwise OK. Slide #1-View from Slough Road Slide #2-Aerial Slide #3- Delete paragraph at bottom Slide #4- Refer to Herring Run, headwaters of Run too. Show all the way to Cape Cod Bay- get newer maps Slide #5- OK Slide #6- Put slide on front page of Ben #2 Benefit #2- Benefit #3- 1. Provides another access 2. opportunity flexibility for access to Walkers Pond -gives Town more flexibility for the many recreational uses of Walkers Pond Benefit #4-Brown Trout-delete reference, yellow perch, large/small mouth bass. Say: Alewives and other fish, diverse habitat Delete the actual cost slide. -give to Elliot Use large size on last slide: "Protect Land to Protect Water" 4. Town Meeting warrant-Article 8: Slides are good. #1 -Article 8 recommendations #2 -Windmill-OK #3 -Cemetery-at"Town-owned" Breakwater Cemetery #4- LCCCDC- 2nd photo is best- indicate that this is a stock photo. Use one photo, #5 -30% Funds - OK #6-Admin - Delete 5. Do Applications on May 10th• Community Preservation Committee-April 26,2006 Minutes Page 1 of Discussion of Applications: Ruchinskas indicated that the housing applications were good and complete. Carr asked that everyone be familiar with all the applications and be prepared for questions at the May let" meeting. 6. Discussion of DOR rulings on recreation issues This appears to be a very nebulous area — and other towns have been reading it in different ways. There was a suggestion to write DOR and get a ruling. 7. Application Deadlines? Applications should be permanently open — rolling — with deadlines only in reference to being done for an upcoming town meeting. 8. Brewster Housing Partnership Hush and Carr met with this group —very productive discussion. There was a proposal for rental units. It would be nice to have a consultant that was always available for projects/questions. 9. Formal Approval of Open Space Application: Moved by Robinson second by Hush. All "AYE".
