ADOPTING THE FY 99 PASS FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE IDA LEE PARK
RECREATION CENTER
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department proposed a fee change for pass sales
at the Ida Lee Park Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the fee changes would provide a financial incentive to purchase longer term passes;
and
WHEREAS, the fee changes would insure that the financially disadvantaged passes are
consistent with currently approved Standard Operating Procedures which is fifty percent off the regular
price; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission endorsed the respective
fee changes; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council Finance Committee recommended the respective fee changes.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Council hereby adopts the fee schedule for fiscal year 1999 as presented at the April
7, 1998, Finance Committee. The fee schedule will be effective July 1, 1998, as part of the fiscal year
1998/99 budget.

NOTE:
(1) The fee changes are proposed to provide an incentive to purchase longer term passes.
Example: Single Dependent pass. An individual could buy a month pass for $20 or a year
pass for $240. There is no incentive to purchase a longer term pass.
(2) The financially disadvantaged passes are recommended for change in order to come in line
with the department's current Standard Operating Procedures. Financially disadvantaged
passes are charged half the single adult rate.
