INCREASING THE TOWN'S CONTRIBUTION TO THE FIRE
COMPANY FOR WATER AND SEWER SERVICE
WHEREAS, on April 18, 1998, the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company moved into
its substation on town property adjacent to the police station on Plaza Street; and
WHEREAS, the fire company has formally requested the town to contribute water
and sewer for fire company related uses at the new substation; and
WHEREAS, the fire company provides valuable fire services to the benefit of the
citizens of Leesburg.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
as follows:
SECTION I. A contribution to the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company in the
amount of the user charge for water and sewer service at the Plaza Street substation is
hereby authorized.
SECTION II. An appropriation from the general fund unappropriated fund balance
in the same amount is also authorized.
