RECOGNIZING KIWANIS KD'S DAY 1998
WHEREAS, the Kiwanis Club of Leesburg will be sponsoring Kid's Day on Sunday, May 17,
1998; and
WHEREAS, the event will be held at Ida Lee Park from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and
WHEREAS, the Kiwanis Club of Leesburg anticipates an estimated attendance of more than 2,500
participants; and
WHEREAS, the event is associated with the fifth annual Kid's Day America/International event;
and
WHEREAS, entrance to the event is one can of non-perishable food; and
WHEREAS, all proceeds from Kiwanis Kid's Day will be donated to Interfaith Relief to benefit the
citizens of the Town of Leesburg and the County of Loudoun.
THEREFORE, the Mayor and Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby recognize
Kiwanis Kid's Day 1998, and urge all town citizens to participate in the event scheduled for Sunday, May
17, 1998 at Ida Lee Park from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
