HomeMy Public PortalAbout1998_06_09_R129The Town of Leesburg, Virginia RESOLUTION NO. 98-129 A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT XEROX SEWER OUTFALL PRESENTED June 9, 1998 ADOPTED June 9, 1998 FOR SEWERLINE EXTENSION WHEREAS, the development of Potomac Station, Section 6H requires construction of a temporary pump station and forcemain for conveyance of sewage flows from this site to the nearest gravity system; and WHEREAS, in an attempt to eliminate this facility and build a gravity sewer outfall, staff entered into negotiations with Kettler & Scott, Inc. (KSI) and Xerox Realty to achieve this goal; and WHEREAS, both property owners have agreed on a gravity sewer alignment through their perspective properties; and WHEREAS, KSI will design and build this gravity sewer at an estimated cost of $400,000.00; and WHEREAS, the town will reimburse KSI the Xerox Realty portion of the construction cost estimated at $200,000.00; and WHEREAS, upon completion of construction a pro-rata will be established to collect these fees from Xerox Realty, or their successors in interest. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: The manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with KSI in a form approved by the town attorney for design and construction of this system.
