A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING REIMBURSEMENT TO CHELSEA GCA REALTY, INC.
FOR WATERLINE CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the Main Zone, Phase III Water System Improvements project includes the
construction of approximately 2,600 linear feet of 20" waterline in Fort Evans Road; and
WHEREAS, the installation of this waterline by the town would have resulted in conflicts with the
Fort Evans Road Improvements by Chelsea GCA Realty, Inc., the developer of Leesburg Premium Outlet
Mall; and
WHEREAS, it was deemed beneficial and most logical to coordinate the roadway improvements
and the waterline construction; and
WHEREAS, an agreement was reached with Chelsea GCA Realty, Inc. to construct the waterline
under their contract with their contractor; and
WHEREAS, staff and Chelsea GCA Realty, Inc. have agreed on an amount of $280,298.43 for the
construction of this waterline; and
WHEREAS, the FY98 Budget includes an appropriation for completing this project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Chelsea GCA
Realty, Inc. in a form approved by the town attorney, in the amount of $280,298.43 for construction of this
waterline.
