RESOLUTION NO. 98-147
ADOPTED June 23, 1998
A RESOLUTION:
NAMING THE THOMAS BALCH LIBRARY GARDEN AS THE B. POWELL
AND AGNES HARRISON GARDEN
WHEREAS, B. Powell and Agnes Harrison have contributed immensely to the benefit of the Town of
Leesburg throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS, the Harrisons' civic contributions have included historic preservation, environmental
protection and land use planning; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to honor the Harrisons for their many years of service to the
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The formal garden area to be developed during the renovation and expansion of the Thomas Balch
Library is hereby named the B. Powell and Agnes Hamson Garden.
