RESOLUTION NO. 98-159
ADOPTED July 14, 1998
A RESOLUTION:
AWARDING THE AIRPORT TAXIWAY RELOCATION AND APRON
EXPANSION CONTRACT TO NEW CONSTRUCTION
INCORPORATED
WHEREAS, the relocation of the airport taxiway and apron expansion is an
approved Capital Improvement Plan project on the Airport Layout Plan; and
WHEREAS, the town advertised for sealed bids for the relocation of the airport
taxiway and apron expansion project and proposals were received on June 15, 1998, pursuant
to state and local procurement laws; and
WHEREAS, based on six complete and responsive bids received, New
Construction, Inc. (NCI) was the low bidder with a bid of $3,339,700; and
WHEREAS, NCI met all the requirements of the bid proposal; and
WHEREAS, NCI was found to be a responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, based on the amount of federal, state, and local funding available,
Phase 1 and 2 of this five phase project will be awarded at this time for an amount
of $1,740,000.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
as follows:
The Town Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract,
in a form approved by the Town Attorney, with New Construction, Inc., in the amount
of $1,740,000 for Phase 1 & 2 of the taxiway relocation and apron expansion project at

the Leesburg Municipal Airport.
