AUTHORIZING A PUBLIC HEARING OF THE TOWN
COUNCIL PROHIBITING THROUGH TRUCK TRAFFIC ON
CERTAIN STREETS WITHIN THE TOWN OF LEESBURG
Street, Leesburg, Virginia.

WHEREAS, on July 7, 1998, the Administration and Public Works Committee initiated
consideration of amendments to the Leesburg Town Code to prohibit through truck traffic on
certain streets within the Town of Leesburg.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
A Notice of Public Hearing with the Town Council to consider prohibiting through tracks
on the following streets;
· On Market Street from Memorial Drive, N.W. to Loudoun Street, S.E.
· On Loudoun Street from Dry Mill Road, S.W., to East Market Street
· On King Street from Fail-fax Street, S.E., to Northeast Battlefield Parkway
· On Harrison Street, S.E., from Depot Court, S.E., to East Market Street
Alternative routes are:
· Battlefield Parkway
· Catoctin Circle
· Leesburg Bypass
shall be published in the Leesburg Today on August 26, 1998 and September 2, 1998, for a public
hearing on Tuesday, September 8, 1998, at 7:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers, 25 West Market
