A RESOLUTION: 98-164 ESTABLISHING A CITIZEN TASK PRESENTED July 14, 1998 ADOPTED July 14, 1998 FORCE COMMITTEE TO REVIEW THE CHANCELLOR STREET TRAIL PROJECT WHEREAS, the Chancellor Street Trail project has been identified in the Capital Improvements Project budget since 1991; and WHEREAS, local residents from the southwestern portion of town have requested the funding of the project; and WHEREAS, the Chancellor Street Trail project will be located in the corporate limits of the Town of Leesburg and in the limits of the County of Loudoun; and WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department recommended the establishment of a citizen task force to closely review the project to insure that all issues and options are properly analyzed; and WHEREAS, the citizen task force would include the opportunity for inclusion of a representative from all interested parties involved in the project or impacted by the project. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. The Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department is hereby authorized to establish a citizen task force to review the Chancellor Street Trail project. SECTION II. One representative from each of the following organizations may be selected for appointment by their respective organization to the task force: Leesburg Town Council; Leesburg Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission; Leesburg Parks and Recreation -2- A RESOLUTION: ESTABLISHING CITIZEN TASK FORCE COMMITTEE FOR CHANCELLOR STREET TRAIL Department; Cotmty of Loudoun Board of Supervisors; County of Loudoun Parks, Recreation and Community Services; County of Loudoun Parks, Recreation and Community Services Advisory Board; Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority; resident from Woodlea Manor, Greenway Farms, Linden Hill, and Country Club Subdivisions; and resident from Chancellor Street. SECTION Robert Zoldos force committee. PASSED this 14t~ day of July, 1998. III. The Council of the Town of Leesburg appoints Councilmember as its representative to serve on the Chancellor Street Trail citizen task E.
