AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE TOWN AND
AV- ED FLIGHT SCHOOL, INC. FOR THE LEASE OF OFFICE SPACE
IN THE AIRPORT TERMINAL BUll,DING FOR THE PURPOSE OF
RUNNING A FLIGHT SCHOOL
WHEREAS, AV-ED Flight School, Inc. has been located and operating at the Leesburg
Municipal Airport for approximately five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, the flight school has been on a month-to-month lease arrangement and
desires a formal long term relationship with the Town; and
WHEREAS, the Airport Director and Airport Commission have negotiated a lease
agreement satisfactory to both parties; and
WHEREAS, the leased space is 1,087.3 square feet and is located in the airport terminal
building; and
WHEREAS, the term of the lease is four years and eleven months; and
WHEREAS, the annual rent is $16,885.00 and includes a three percent (3%) escalation
clause; and

AV-ED FLIGHT SCHOOL LEASE
WHEREAS, the lease has been approved by the Leesburg Airport Commission
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
town manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with AV-ED Flight School, Inc. for lease
of office space in the terminal building in a format approved by the Deputy Town Attorney.
