Virginia’s Secretary of Technology Jim Duffey to Visit Mason
Enterprise Center in Leesburg on Friday, February 3, 2012
Leesburg, VA (February 2, 2012) – Virginia’s Secretary of Technology Jim Duffey will tour the
Mason Enterprise Center Leesburg/Loudoun County (MEC), located at 202 Church Street SE in
downtown Leesburg on Friday, February 3, 2012.
Secretary Duffey’s visit is at the invitation of Solar4Leesburg, one of the tenants of the newly
opened business incubator. Solar4Leesburg is a woman-owned business that provides solar
energy solutions to businesses and homes. Solar4Leesburg hopes to become the premier
provider of Solar4Systems in Loudoun County and beyond. The Solar4 promise is to design,
develop, install and maintain each solar project under the supervision of the founder of Solar4,
Torsten Seling and the Solar4 partners.
In addition to touring the MEC, Secretary Duffey and Assistant Secretary of Technology and
Senior Policy Advisor Cameron Kilberg will visit two of Solar4Leesburg’s client businesses in
western Loudoun County, Endless Summer Harvest and North Gate Winery.
“On a recent trip to Richmond, we met with Aaron Mathes, the Deputy Secretary of
Technology, to discuss the state of technology in Virginia. Following that meeting, we invited
Mr. Duffey and Mr. Kilberg to visit Leesburg and see two of our solar projects on farms in
Loudoun County,” explained Dr. Mary Haberl, one of Solar4Leesburg’s partners. “We are
delighted they are coming to observe this smart, green business that harnesses the sun to
create consistent, clean energy for generations to come.”
“The Mason Enterprise Center fosters the evolution of existing businesses. We are very proud
of Solar4Leesburg, as an MEC resident client that takes full advantage of these benefits to
catalyze their growth,” said Susan Henson, Regional Manager of the Mason Enterprise Center
Leesburg/Loudoun County. “We are thrilled that Secretary Duffey will be visiting at their
invitation.”
