AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE SALARIES FOR THE EXEMPT POSITIONS OF THE CITY OF
MOAB.
WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the City of Moab is required to set salaries of exempt positions of
the City of Moab; and
WHEREAS, the exempt employee as defined in the Department of regulations #541, but not to be
restricted to, will include at this time, the following positions:
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Moab that the grade be set forth as follows:
Section 1. Yearly salary range for the following exempt positions only:
City Manager — Grade E5 $48,379 — $65,020
Police Chief — Grade E3 $44,078 — $59,237
Public Works Dir. — Grade 18 $34,911 — $46,917
Recorder — Grade 17 $33,304 — $44,767
Treasurer — Grade 14 $28,961 — $38,941
Section 2. Yearly salary rates for the following elected official positions:
Mayor $12,000
Councilmembers $ 6,000
This ordinance shall take effect July 1, 1999.
Passed and adopted by action of the Governing Body of the City of Moab in open session this 22nd day
of June= 1999.
