AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF FINAL DESIGN FOR THE
NORTH STREET SIDEWALK PROJECT INCLUDING A DRIVEWAY FOR
211 NORTH STREET
WHEREAS, the FY99 Capital Improvements Program includes the North Street Sidewalk
project; and
WHEREAS, construction of the sidewalk will result in the loss of on street parking area used by
the owners of the property at 211 North Street; and
WHEREAS, agreement between the town and property owner was reached on a modified version
of the design proposed by the property owners.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Town Manager is directed to instruct the design consultant to complete final
design of the project, incorporating the driveway using the modified design agreed to by the town and
property owners.
SECTION II. The Town Manager is instructed to request the Deputy Town Attorney to prepare
the documents to acquire the necessary right-of-way needed by the town for the sidewalk project.
