A RESOLUTION: PRESENTED October 13. 1998 98-230 ADOPTED October 13. 1998 AUTHORIZATION TO RELEASE CENTRAL LOUDOUN LITTLE LEAGUE, INC., FROM ITS RESPONSIBILITIES AT ROBINSON PARK BASEBALL FIELD, AND AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOUDOUN, VIRGINIA, FOR THE USE OF ROBINSON PARK BASEBALL FIELD WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg owns a ten acre park known as Robinson Park in the Exeter Subdivision that includes a baseball field; and WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg has had an agreement with Central Loudoun Little League providing exclusive use of the Robinson Park baseball field to Central Loudoun Little League since March of 1994; and WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg and Central Loudoun Little League renewed the agreement in April of 1997; and WHEREAS, Central Loudoun Little League requested in writing a release from the agreement in June of 1998; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission endorsed termination of the agreement as requested by Central Loudoun Little League; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission endorsed the Parks and Recreation Department's request to enter into an agreement with the County of Loudoun, Virginia, for field maintenance at Robinson Park baseball field; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Loudoun, Virginia, has approved the terms of the agreement; and -2- A RESOLUTION: ROBINSON PARK BASEBALL FIELD WHEREAS, the Town Council Administrative and Public Works Committee recommended approval of the agreement with the County of Loudoun. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. The Council of the Town of Leesburg authorizes the town manager to release Central Loudoun Little League from all responsibilities at Robinson Park baseball field. SECTION II. The Council of the Town of Leesburg authorizes the town manager to enter into an agreement with the County of Loudoun for field use at Robinson Park baseball field.
