A RESOLUTION: RENAMING THE HARRISON STREET AND LIBERTY STREET
PARKING LOTS
WHEREAS, the Hamson Street and Liberty Street parking lots were offered to
Loudoun County in 1996 for overflow county government business as part of an
agreement between the towm and count5'; and
WHEREAS, Loudoun County rejected the Liberty Street parking lot; and
WHEREAS, the county has recently begun utilizing the Liberty Street parking lot
for juror parking; and
WHEREAS, the Circuit Court and Loudoun Counts' have requested the town
rename the Harrison Street and Liberty Street parking lots to the "Madison" and
"Monroe" parking lots respectively for the purpose of assisting juror parking; and
WHEREAS, in the spirit of cooperation, and to fulfill the town/county agreement,
Town Council desires to assist the Circuit Court and Loudoun County ,Mth their parking
shortages~
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
as follows:
SECTION I. The Tovm Council renames the Harrison Street and Liberty Street
parking lots to the Madison and Monroe parking lots respectively.
SECTION II. Loudoun County will provide all entrance and directional signs
required for the parking lots.
SECTION 111. The town will provide the installation of all signs.
SECTION IV. The town reserves the right to rename the parking lots when the
Circuit Court or Loudoun County no longer need use of the lots.
