PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
BEVERLY STREET STORM SEWER OUTLET PROJECT
WHEREAS , there exists a need for professional services to prepare final
construction plans and specifications for the Beverly Street Storm Sewer Outlet; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.JS.A. 40A: 11-5 (1) (a) professional services are exempt
from the requirements of competitive bidding; and
WHEREAS, the Local Finance Officer has certified that funds are available.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Council of the
.._ Borough of Carteret does hereby approve the appointment of Shoreline Services,
Inc. at a maximum cost not to exceed $19,506.00 billable per hour according to the
attached rate schedule.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the contract is awarded without competitive
bids in accordance with NJ. SA. 40A:11-5 (1) (a) due to the specialized and
professional nature ofth~ services provided.
A notice of this action shall be published once in The News Tribune on June 20, 1995
according to law.
Adopted this 15th day of June, 1995
and certified as a true copy of the
