A RESOLUTION:
PRESENTED November 24, 1998
98-273 ADOPTED November 24, 1998
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO CORRESPOND WITH THE
LOUDOUN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS REGARDING
TOWN AND COUNTY RELATIONS
WHEREAS, at its September retreat, the Council reaffirmed that: "As a Council, we
need to work to improve conditions of our citizenry and enhance our working relationship with
the County while protecting the integrity of Leesburg."; and
WHEREAS, the Council followed up on this mission by conducting a luncheon on
November 4, 1998 with the Board of Supervisors and County staff; and
WHEREAS, the next step appears to be the establishment of an agreed upon list of topics
to be considered; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council wishes to send the attached letter to Chairman Myers and
the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The Mayor is hereby authorized to send the attached letter to Chairman Myers and the
Loudoun County Board of Supervisors.
