REQUESTING THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY'S SUPPORT FOR
THE USE OF LASER SPEED DETECTION DEVICES
WHEREAS, the 1998 General Assembly enacted a law to allow Prince William
County to use laser speed detection devices to enforce speed limits; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Police Department endorses the use of laser speed
detection devices as a more effective means of traffic enforcement; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Town Council requests the support of the General
Assembly for the use of laser speed detection devices.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia
as follows:
The Leesburg Town Council hereby requests the support of the General Assembly
for the use of laser speed detection devices.
PASSED this 12th day of January, 1999.
