THE BREWSTER BOARD OF HEALTH WORK MEETING
TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2006 AT 7:OOPM
TOWN HALL, ROOM A
Present: Raquel Ellis, Vice Chairman, Joanne Hughes, James Reynolds, Dan Brightman, Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director
and Tammi Mason, Administrative Clerk.
7:00 Public hearing on proposed Animal Waste Regulation
Issues were discussed. Fines were agreed upon.
Motion: DB-accept regulation as written. JH seconded. 4 yes. Publish in paper and do a press release.
1. Discuss proposed wastewater treatment facility at Ocean Edge
NI spoke about this. Mike Giggey was interested. Consultation fee is to be paid by applicant.
Motion: DB-go ahead with hiring Wright Pierce Co. JH seconded. 4 yes.
JH would like MG to focus on DEP's siting of non compliance with regulations. The Board also asked about the
Hydrological study that was not in the packet.
2. Minutes from 4/4/06
Motion: JH accept minutes with correction. DB seconded. Oyes.
3. Discuss letter from Steve Backus re: 2342 Main Street
RE-excused herself from discussion due to conflict.
Noted.
4. Discuss proposed Definition of a Bedroom
Motion: DB-set up public hearing. JR seconded. 4 yes.
5. Discuss proposed Leaching Facility Setback
Motion: JH-Send back to CC and Planning for their comments. DB seconded. 4 yes. Bring back to next meeting.
6. Discuss proposed Tobacco Use Regulation
