Present: Ed Wanamaker, Chairman, Raquel Ellis, Vice Chairman, Joanne Hughes, James Reynolds, Dan Brightman, Nancy
Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Administrative Clerk.
7:00 Public hearing on Bedroom Definition
Spoke about doing inspections. These should be pre existing and not subject to this. If it passes then no problem but if
it fails, the new system would be subject to the new regulation. Discussion.
Motion: DB-Move to accept new regulation. RE seconded. 5 yes.
Motion: JH-Have this regulation be effective three months (9/1/06) from date of publication. DB
seconded. 5 yes.
7:30 Scott Riley-variance request for new well at 2111 Main Street
Existing well is less than 100 feet from cesspools. Didn't notify abutters by certified mail so Board cannot make a decision
tonight. JH brought up the fact that well water wasn't tested. Required by well regulations if rental property.
Motion: RE-Continue until next meeting so that Mr. Riley can have the water tested, submit a letter
with the correct distance for variance, notify abutters by certified mail, and find out where
abutters septic systems are located. DB seconded. 5 yes.
Oil tank variance request for 136 North Pond Drive
Motion: JH-approve. RE seconded. 5 yes.

NI reminded the Board of the Pleasant Bay meeting on Thursday May 25, 2006 at 7:OOPM at Town Hall.
NI asked the Board what they wanted to do about the July meetings. The Board agreed to have their meeting
on Wednesday, July 5, 2006. If a work meeting is needed than it would be scheduled for July 25, 2006.
NI spoke about reorganizing since an election had just taken place. RE volunteered to be the alternate for
the WQRC meetings.
Motion: RE-nominate EW to be Chairman. DB seconded. 5 yes.
DB-nominate RE to be Vice Chairman. JH seconded. 5 yes.
NI handed out the paperwork that was submitted to the Nauset Rotary Club for Jane Johnson.
NI handed out Emergency Planning information and a new Communication Flow Chart.
