THE BREWSTER BOARD OF HEALTH WORK MEETING
TUESDAY, JUNE 20, 2006 AT 7:OOPM
TOWN HALL, ROOM A
Present: Ed Wanamaker, Chairman, Raquel Ellis, Vice Chairman, Joanne Hughes, James Reynolds, Dan
Brightman, Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Administrative Clerk.
7:00 Ryder & Wilcox-Allen Drive-BOH approval for alternative system
Stephanie Sequin representing. Vacant lot, in Zone 2. This is a small lot, 18,000sf, so they want an
alternative system (Advantex Treatment System) to be put in. DEP approved. DB stated that the locus was
wrong. EW questioned if she had checked for wells within 100 feet. SS stated that they did. SS handed in
the Certification of the System from the Company.
Motion: RE-allow alternative system but verify all wells are out of 100 feet. JR seconded. 5 yes.
Minutes from 6/6/06
Motion: RE-accept minutes as written. DB seconded. 5 yes.
2. Charles & Susan Becker-request for an extension of a COC
Motion: JR-give an extension of 2 months from now (September 1~). RE seconded. 5 yes.
3. Health Director's annual performance appraisal
EW will do the evaluation.
4. Discuss Objective #1-To request that all supermarket chains on Cape Cod take all Phosphorus
containing products ofF the shelves
NI stated she did follow up on this, sent letters to supermarkets and did send letters to other BOH's .
Received letters back from Dennis, Chatham, Sandwich. Completed this objective.
Discuss Objective #2-To study the nitrogen levels of wells in Brewster to establish a baseline
Got info that the Board requested. Partially accomplished.

6. Discuss Objective #3-To identify the high density zone in Brewster
Objective was partially accomplished. RE-looking for the number of bedrooms per square acre. Assessors
should have this information on file. Could ask planning and zoning board what they would identify as high
density zones for population. If they list that would help.

7. Discuss massage establishment design flow
Motion: RE-until we have established gpd as a certifiable number all massage establishments will be
looked at consistently to make sure they don't exceed the design flow. DB seconded. 5 yes.

NI asked her questions. For the small lots (in GPD) just count the bedrooms. Change 10 rooms or mc~ to
what Littleton said. ~ ~
