RESOLUTION AWARDING OF CONTRACT FOR THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION STP -E -7662(607)-8V-52 TIFFIN CITY PARK TRAIL PHASE THREE
WHEREAS: on the 28th day of July, 2009, the Iowa Department of Transportation has
acknowledged that the plans, specifications, and form of contract were accepted and reviewed
on behalf of Tiffin, Iowa, for the STP -E -7662(607)-8V-52 Tiffin City Park Trail Phase Three
project.
WHEREAS: on the 28th day of July 2009 the lowa'Department of Transportation has determined
that City Wide Construction Corp. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa to be the lowest responsible bidder.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY The City of Tiffin, Iowa, that the said plans,
specifications and form of contract and award of contract are, hereby approved for this above-
mentioned project. The award of contract will be extended to City Wide Construction Corp for
approval for the amount of $81,319.93.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY the City Council of Tiffin, Iowa to authorize the Mayor and
City Clerk to sign all necessary notices, documents, and forms of contract, as required and
necessary to execute a contract with was identified and recommended by the City Engineer.
Resolution 2009-32 was introduced by Councilperson Mike Gericke and made a motion for
approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson Chris Ball.
AYES: Chris Ball, Jim Bartels, Mike Gericke, Mark Petersen.
NAY: None
ABSENT: John Wright
With: four votes for a,proval, Mayor Phillips now declares Resolution 2009-32 passed
and approved this 12t day of August 2009.
