MINUTES Board of Electrical Examiners and Review Jefferson City, Missouri September 7, 2016 MEMBERS PRESENT: Jim Gooch Chris Bruemmer Richard Green Sam Thomas Ray Fink Bill Luebbert, Electrical Inspector Larry Burkhardt, Building Official MEMBERS ABSENT: Dave Steinman COUNCIL LIAISON: Glen Costales The Electrical Board of Examiners and Review met September 7, 2016, in the Small Conference Room of the John G. Christy Municipal Building. The meeting was called to order by Bill Luebbert at 4:05 p.m. A quorum was present. Approval of Minutes from the July 6, 2016 meeting: A motion was made by Richard Green and seconded by Sam Thomas to approve the minutes of the July 6, 2016 meeting. Motion passed by show of hands. Review License Applications: • Jonathon Farrell was seeking approval to take his Journeyman test. A motion was made by Jim Gooch and seconded by Richard Green to deny Mr. Farrell's request because more documentation of hours would be needed. Motion passed by show of hands. • Jon Bussey was seeking approval to take his Journeyman test. A motion was made by Sam Thomas and seconded by Chris Bruemmer to deny Mr. Bussey's request because more documentation of hours would be needed. Motion passed by show of hands. Old Business: Approving hours of industrial electricians so that they could take their Journeyman test, such as those working at Unilever, was discussed. Jim Gooch commented that these electricians have a variety of electrical experience and maybe those hours should be considered. New Business: There was discussion of updating the City Code with regard to the Electrical Section of the Building Code. Schedule Next Meeting: The next meeting was tentatively set for November 2, 2016. Adjournment: With no further business the meeting adjourned at 4:45 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Bill Luebbert
