RESOLUTION NO. 99-89 ADOPTED March 23, 1999
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING AN ADJUSTMENT IN COMPENSATION FOR
THE ACTING TOWN MANAGER
WHEREAS, on March 1, 1999, due to the resignation of Steven C. Brown, Town
Manager, Paul E. York, Director of Finance, was appointed as acting town manager to fialfill the
role of town manager until such time as a town manager is hired; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of the additional responsibilities being performed by Mr.
York in the capacity of acting town manager this Council desires to provide him with
compensation commensurate to the duties being performed.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg as follows:
SECTION I. The acting town manager shall be compensated at the rate of $98,000.00
per annum on a bi-weekly basis effective March 1, 1999.
SECTION II. This rate of compensation shall remain in effect until such ti:me as a
replacement for the town manager has been hired and assumes those duties and responsibilities
of the town manager.
