ROUTE 7 LIMITED ACCESS IMPLEMENTATION PROPOSAL
SECTION I. The Town of Leesburg requests the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors
and VDOT to prepare alternatives for implementing limited access and widening to six-lanes the
segment of Rt. 7 from Rt. 9 to W. Market Street.
SECTION II. Alternatives need to consider topography, traffic volumes, traffic
distribution, connections to existing roads, impact on existing roads and entrances and future
impacts on access to private properties.
SECTION III. The Town of Leesburg requests that the Loudoun County Board of
Supervisors not approve land development or highway improvement proposals which would add
additional traffic to existing entrances to Rt. 7 from W. Market Street to Rt. 9 until such time as
the selected limited access plan is implemented.
