AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR ENTRY DOOR SYSTEM AT IDA LEE
PARK RECREATION CENTER
WHEREAS, the Town Council in March 1999 authorized $40,000 from the unappropriated
general fund balance to make safety improvements at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the safety improvements include the demolition of the current front door system at
the facility and the installation of automatic sliding doors; and
WHEREAS, sealed bids were solicited and received under Section 8.1, Competitive Sealed
Bidding of the Town of Leesburg's Purchasing Policy for the installation of a new entry door system at
Ida Lee Park Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, one bid was received and evaluated pursuant to the bid documents and the Town of
Leesburg's Purchasing Policy; and
WHEREAS, Engineered Glass Products, Inc., is the sole bidder at $28,000, and has been
declared to be both responsible and responsive; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department recommends that a contract in the amount of
$28,000 be awarded to Engineered Glass Products, Inc., for the installation of new entry door system at
Ida Lee Park Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council Finance Committee has recommended approval of the contract
award to Engineered Glass Products, Inc., in the amount of $28,000 for a new entry door system at Ida
Lee Park Recreation Center.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:

A RESOLUTION: AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ENTRY DOOR SYSTEM AT IDA LEE PARK
The Town Manager is hereby authorized to award, on behalf of the town, a contract to
Engineered Glass Products, Inc., in the amount of $28,000 for the installation of a new entry door system
at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center.
