a meeting of all league members and see what stand the rest of the communities
were going to take on the matter,
Mr,Grahatm offered to send his attorney or anyone the village would
care to name to Tallahassee to check with ahe Legislators, but Mr. Anderson
said he did not think it necessary at present,

"RE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Pal Har?el_u•
t"''•., + 'I- Senator from the 13th Senatorial
District of Florida, the Honorable R, P. Gautier,
and the, Representatives from Dade county, Honor-
able George Mien, Honorable W, C. Hornell, and
Honorable John, P. Orr, be requested. to introduce
no legislation in the pending aes;.ion of the Florida
Legislature which is designed in any way to alter
or abolish the Governmentof Pal Harbour Village
without the consent of the qualified electors thereof,
PG IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution,
certified by the ?*illage Clerk, be sent to each mem-
ber of the aforesaid Dade County Delegation and the
said State Senator."
on second of Mr. Collins, the resolution was unanimously passed.

A special meeting of the council of Pal Harbour Village was called
for 7:00 o'clock P. M., Wednesday, May 4th in order to verify the results of
the council elation held May 3rd.
Preseni were: Messrs. Beatty, Collins, Stokely and Dr Leonard
and W. H. Webb, Village Manager and Mary Wetterer,
Village Clerk.
Mr. Robert Landis, candidate for council, was also present,

The Clerk reported that a total of Seventy Seven (77) Voters had taken
part in the election and that when the ballots were counted by herself and election
clerks Jacqueline Beatty and Barbara Beckham in the presence Of witnesses the
count was as follows: Dwight W. Broeman, 62; Harry A. Brown, 51; Robert G,
Landis, 42; and Edward G. Stokely, 42. It wan pointed out that under lection
100.181 of the Florida Statutes that when a tie vote is received the winner shall
be determined by drawing lots.
Mr. Stokely said that he would like to withdraw his candidacy anu the
following letter ws read by Pie 17i:lrge clerk:

Gentlemen:
I hereby withdraw my candidacy for the Bel Harbour
Village Council.

It was then moved by Mr. Collins, seconded by Mr. Beatty and unanimously voted
that Mr. Stokelyts letter of withdrawal be accepted by the council and that
Mr. Landis be declared the winner of the third seat of the council.
The council was informed that a total of 64 freeholders had voted in
the Bond Election being a majority of 76 registered freeholders and that the
issues were voted as follows: The Village Hall and Fire Station, 45 for -
15 against; Water Booster Station, 57 for - 4 against; Garbage and Fire
Equipment, 57; for - 7 against. A11 the issues thereby being passed.
There being no further business before the meeting on motion of Mr.
Beatty, seconded by Mr. Collins, the meeting adjourned.
