A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT FOR COMPLETION OF
IMPROVEMENTS TO ROUTE 653
WHEI~AS, in the approved site plan for Potomac Station and River Creek, the applicants,
River Creek L.L.C. and Goose Creek Communities, L.L.C. were obligated to construct specific
public road improvements to Route 653 to be constructed prior to activation of the traffic signal
at the intersection of River Creek Parkway and Route 7; and
WHEREAS, River Creek L.L.C. and Goose Creek Communities, L.L.C. have agreed to
provide $4:50,000.00 to the Town of Leesburg in lieu of construction; and
WHI~REAS, the Town Council ("Town") has determined that cash of $450,000.00 satisfies
the meaning and intent of'the site plan and will ensure the timely completion of the specified
improvements.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to execute thc Agreement attached hereto to accept
$450,000.00 from Goose Creek Communities, L.L.C. and River Creek L.L.C. for the
construction of public road improvements on Route 6~J3 by and between the Town, River Creek
L.L.C. and Goose Creek Communities L.L.C. The Agreement is subject to being in a form
approved by the Town Attorney.
