HomeMy Public PortalAbout003-2010 - Cost of services reimbursement - Landfill FundsRICHMOND SANITARY DISTRICT RESOLUTION NO. 3 — 2010 COST OF SERVICES REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT RICHMOND SANITARY DISTRICT SOLID WASTE AND LANDFILL FUNDS WHEREAS, the Richmond Sanitary District Landfill Fund has provided, at no charge, service to the Solid Waste Fund for many years; and WHEREAS, the lost revenue for providing these services amounted to $736,035.00 in calendar year 2009; and WHEREAS, the current fees at the Landfill are enough to cover operating needs, but do not provide for longer term capital needs; and WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Fund has previously provided funding to the Landfill for cell construction, equipment replacement and other large capital needs, and WHEREAS, it is desirable per the State Board of Accounts Auditors for the Landfill to fund its capital needs internally via the Landfill Fund. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Sanitary Commissioners of the Richmond Sanitary District in consideration of the above stated recitals, the Board agrees: 1. Purpose The purpose of this agreement is to provide for the reimbursement of costs from the Solid Waste Fund to the Landfill Fund based on 2009 calendar year collections at the Landfill. This reimbursement of costs is to allow the Landfill to fund capital projects and equipment purchases internally within the Landfill Fund. 2. Costs There shall be an internal transfer of $736,035.00 from the Solid Waste Fund to the Landfill Fund for calendar year 2010. 3. Term. This agreement is a reimbursement of costs of disposal for the 2010 calendar year, based on actual costs incurred in the 2009 calendar year.
