AUTHORIZING TASK ORDER #6 WITH CH2M HILL, INC., FOR SERVICES
DURING CONSTRUCTION OF THE WATER POLLUTION CONTROL
FACILITY BNR/BMU PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the town is currently under contract with CH2M Hill, Inc., for design and construction
engineering services relating to the BNR/BMU upgrade of the Water Pollution Control Facility; and
WHEREAS, CH2M Hill recently completed final design services and preparation of construction
documents; and
WHEREAS, bids for the construction of the BNR project were received on June 2, 1999 with
contract award anticipated on June 22, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Task Order #6 with CH2M Hill is necessary in order to proceed with BNR
construction phase services; and
WHEREAS, CH2M Hill has submitted a proposal referenced as Task Order #6, on a cost ~plus fixed
fee basis, detailing services to be provided by CH2M Hill during construction at an estimated cost of
$1,500,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the proposed engineering services cost is within programmed costs of the project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The acting town manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute Task Order #6, to the March
10, 1998 engineering services agreement with CH2M Hill, Inc. in a form approved by the town attorney, in
an amount not to exceed $1,500,000.00, based on a twenty-four month contract period, for the Water
Pollution Control Facility BNR and BMU Upgrade projects.
