RESOLUTION NO. 99-189
A RESOLUTION:
PRESENTED June 22, 1999
ADOPTED June 22, 1999
ESTABLISHING DAYS FOR DISPLAYING FLAGS ALONG
DESIGNATED STREETS IN LEESBURG
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Town Council to establish days when the American
Flag will be displayed along designated streets in historic, downtown Leesburg; and
WHEREAS, flags will be displayed by the Town of Leesburg.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I. The following days are hereby established as days when the American
Flag will be displayed by the Town of Leesburg:
Memorial Day - last Monday in May
Flag Day - June 14
Independence Day, July 4
Labor Day - September 7
Veteran' s Day - November 11
SECTION II. The Department of Parks and Recreation is hereby authorized to display
a "flower/spring" theme flag during the annual Flower and Garden Show.
