AN ORDINANCE TO ANNEX TO THE CITY OF RIMUND, INDIANA, CERTAIN CONTIGUOUS
TERRITORY, ADJACENT AND ABUTTING THERETO, DESCRIBING THE SAME, AND F=G
THE TIA•lE WHFN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
UiE�, Jerry L. Jennings and Karen Sue Jennings, each owning one hundred
percent (100%) of a certain parcel of land, all being within the
hereinafter described area, have petitioned the Commmon Council of
the City of Richmond, Indiana for the voluntary annexation of said
hereinafter described area, as set out, and in accordance with
I.C. 18-5-10-23; and,
WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is contiguous and adjacent to the present
boundary of the City of Richmond, Indiana; and,
WHEREAS, the requested annexation is consistant with the terms of Council
Resolution No. 5-1980.
NCW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Commn Council of the City of Richmond,
Wayne County, Indiana;
SECTION 1. That the following described territory, adjacent to the corporate
boundaries of the City of Richmond, be annexed to and hereby is de-
clared to be a part of the said City of Richuond, Indiana; said
territory being located in Wayne Township, Wayne County, State of
Indiana, and more particularly described as follows to -wit:
Real estate situate in Wayne County, Indiana described as follows:
- Lots Number 7 and 8 of the Outlots of the City of Richmond laid
out by the Executors of the Will of Sarah Moffitt, deceased in
Q the Southwest Quarter of Section 28, Township 14, North Range 1
West save and except eleven (11) feet taken evenly off the east
side of said Lot Number S. Also being a part of the Southwest
quarter of Section 28, Township 14 North, Range 1 West beginning
at a stone in the New Paris and Richoond Road at the corner of
Hugh Moffitt's land; thence South 83 3/5 degrees West 91 rods
v 23 1/2 links to a stake in the middle of the Richxrond Hillsboro
Pike; thence North 44 1/2 degrees East 30 rods and 6 links with
said pike; thence South 27 1/2 degrees West 21 rods and 14 links
to the place of beginning, containing 61.56 square rods.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage by Conmmon Council and approval by the Mayor and the
publication hereof as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Coinon Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,

PETITION FOR ANNEXATION
The undersigned, JERRY L. JENNINGS and KAREN SUE JENNINGS,
hereby petition the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, for the annexation of certain real estate presently
situated outside and adjacent to the corporate boundaries
of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
(1) Real estate situate in Wayne County, Indiana des-
cribed as follows: Lots Number 7 and 8 of the Outlots of
the City of Richmond laid out by the Executors of the Will
of Sarah Moffitt, deceased in the Southwest Quarter of Section
28, Township 14, North Range 1 West save and except eleven
(11) feet taken evenly off the east side of said Lot Number
8. Also being a part of the Southwest quarter of Section
28, Township 14 North, Range 1 West beginning at a stone in
the New Paris and Richmond Road at the corner of Hugh Moffitt's

The description of said real estate and the terns and
conditions requested to be applicable to said annexation are
all as more fully described in the proposed Annexation
Ordinance No. 1 1981 attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
(2) The petitioners own one hundred percent (100%) of
the land sought to be annexed and request the adoption and
passage of said special Ordinance in accordance with the
statutes of the State of Indiana, particularly IC 1971,
18-5-10-23 et seq.
