ORDINANCE NO. 7-1981
AN ORDINANCE TO M1hND TITLE XV, LAND USAGE,OF
THE D]UIVICIPAL CODE OF TILL CITY OF RI01,10ND,
INDIANA BY ADDING THERETO CHAPTER 155.
WHEREAS, pursuant to authority in I.C. 22-11-1-10 the Administrative
Building Council has adopted statewide and standard building
codes for the general use and practice in the building
industry, and
WHEREAS, such codes may be adopted by reference to include citations
to the Indiana Administrative Code pursuant to I.C. 4-22-2-11,
and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Richmond that these
codes now be adopted by reference and incorporated by refer-
ence in its municipal code.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana:
1. The following rules, regulations and codes are hereby
adcpted by reference as the rules and regulations governing
the construction and alterations of buildings and structures
in the City of Richmond, Indiana.
(a) Construction Rules and Regulations, Volume I,
1978 Edition, (660 IAC 1-1) (1979 and 1980 Supp.)
which identifies, amends and incorporates therein
the Uniform Building Code, 1976 Edition, and the
Uniform Building Code Standards, 1976 Edition.
(b) Electric Rules and Regulations, 1978 Edition,
Volume II, (660 IAC 1-2) (1979) which identifies,
amends and incorpora..as therein the National
Electrical Code, 1978 Edition.
(c) Plumbing Rules and Regulations, 1976 Edition,
Volume III, (660 IAC 1-3) (1979) which identifies,
amends and incorporates therein the Uniform Plumbing
Code, 1976 Edition.
(d) Dlechanical Rules and Regulations, 1977 Edition,
Volume IV, (660 IAC 1-4) (1979) which identifies,
amends and incorporates therein the Uniform 1%lechan-
ical Code, 1976 Edition.
(e) One and Two Family Dwelling Code of Indiana,
(660 IAC 3-1) (1979) which identifies, amends and
incorporates therein the One and Two Family Dwelling
Code, 1975 Edition.
(f) Indiana Energy Conservation ]hales and Regulations
for New Building Construction, Volume V, 1979 Edition.
(660 IAC 4) (1980 Supp.) published under that title.
(g) Swimming Pool Code (660 IAC 5) (1979) published
Indiana Swimming Pool Code, 1978 Edition.
2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption, approval by the Administrative Building Council of
Indiana, and publication as required by law.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6,'' day of 1981,
by the Common Council of t- eeity of Richmond,'- Indiana.

your building ordinances on March 17, 1981. This action was pursuant to
IC 22-11-1-32.
The State Building Commissioner and I appreciate your efforts to maintain
your building regulations up-to-date and consistent with the statewide
building code.
