Leesburg Seeks Public Input on Parks Master Plans
Leesburg, VA (February 23, 2012) – The Town of Leesburg’s Parks & Recreation Department
invites members of the public to review and comment on new or revised master plans for each
of the Town’s sixteen parks. The draft parks master plans will be on display in the lobby of the
Ida Lee Park Recreation Center (60 Ida Lee Drive NW, Leesburg, Virginia, 20176) from Tuesday,
February 28, 2012, through Sunday, March 4, 2012. In addition, staff will be on hand to discuss
the plans and answer questions at the following times:
Tuesday, February 28, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, February 29, 2012, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Master plans are the tools that help determine the direction and funding strategies for the
future development of Leesburg’s parks and recreational facilities. The draft plans that will be
on display show the existing features and facilities of each park as well as the suggested future
improvements.
Citizens can submit their ideas, comments and suggestions for how the Town can best meet the
recreational needs of the community in several ways:
Deliver in person to the Recreation Center’s front desk. Cards will be available at the
master plans display to complete on site.
