ORDINANCE NO. 12-1981
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF
THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY FUND OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1981 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1981, INCLUSIVE, AND
FIXING THE TIl"E WHEN THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was conducted by the Indiana State Board of Tax
Coamissioners on the Motor Vehicle Highway Fund Budget December 10, 1980, and;
WHEREAS, it was determined at the public hearing that the expenses exceeded
the income, and;
WHEREAS, the Indiana State Board of Tax Comissioners have ordered on February
17, 1981 that the 1981 Motor Vehicle Highway Fund Budget be reappropriated
by the Camm Council of Richmond, Indiana to keep the fund within revenue
available.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richnond,
Wayne County, Indiana.:
SECTION 1. Amended Ordinance No. 62-1980 known as AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING
MONIES FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY
FUND OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY
1, 1981 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1981, INCLUSIVE, AND FIXING THE TD E WHEN
THE SAME SHALL TAKE EFFECT, is hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Thereby and there is hereby appropriated the sum of $650,173. to the
Motor Vehicle Highway Fund of said City, and that the same shall be set apart
and budgeted for the various items and expenditures as follows:

SECTION 3. That all said expenditures as provided
for in Section 2, shall be
made and performed between January 1, 1981 and
December
31, 1981, inclusive.
SECTION 4. That said monies as appropriated and budgeted are restricted solely
to and for the use of construction, reconstruction and maintenance of the streets
and alleys of the City of Richmond, Indiana, pursuant to Chapter 278, Acts of
1959, passed by the General Assembly of the State of Indiana.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage by the Common Council, the signature of the President affixed and the
approval of the Mayor of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
