AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR TEXTILE RENTAL

WHEREAS, the FY00 Budget contains funding for the rental of textiles, comprised of work
uniforms supplied to employees by the town, shop and laboratory supplies, and walk-off mats for various
town agencies; and
WHEREAS, the current multi-year contract expired on June 30, 1999, but was extended for one
month through July 31, 1999; and
WHEREAS, on June 10, 1999, the town received bids for the initial year on a new multi-year
contract; and
WHEREAS, Ace Uniform Services, Inc. submitted the low bid and was determined to be
responsive and responsible to provide the required services; and
WHEREAS, the contract will be for an initial period of 11-months starting August 1, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the contract provides for four successive one-year renewals contingent upon
satisfactory service and mutual agreement on cost adjustment.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Acting Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract in the amount of $16,185.60 for
textile rental for the initial 11-month period to Ace Uniform Services, Inc.
