RESOLUTION NO. 99-206 ADOPTED July 13, 1999
ARESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING A PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER THE
VACATION OF A PORTION OF NORTH KING STREET RIGHT-OF-
WAY ADJACENT TO THE LOUDOUN COUNTY COURTS
COMPLEX
WHEREAS, a planned addition to the old county administration building in the Loudoun
County Courts Complex extends approximately 1.5 feet into the public right-of-way of North
King Street; and
WHEREAS, said building addition is an unauthorized encroachment and in conflict with
the required setback of the Leesburg Zoning Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, a boundary line adjustment of the Courthouse property will eliminate both
the right-of-way encroachment and the conflict with the required building setback; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the right-of-way of North King Street must be vacated to adjust
the Courthouse property boundary at the addition to the old county administration building; and
WHEREAS, Loudoun County has requested the vacation of a portion of the North King
Street Right-of-Way; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required pursuant to Section 15.2-2006 of the 1950 Code
of Virginia as amended.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:

COMPLEX
King Street Right-of-Way from interested parties shall be held on Tuesday, July 27, 1999 at 7:30
p.m. in the Town Council Chambers at 25 West Market Street, Leesburg, Virginia. Notification
shall be published in the Leesburg Today
requirements.
