REQUEST FOR
PROPOSAL
THE
PRESENTED June 22, 1999
ADOPTED July 13, 1999
ACTING TOWN MANAGER TO ISSUE A
CABLE TELEVISION FRANCHISE RENEWAL
WHEREAS, the Town of Leesburg's cable television Franchise Agreement will expire
March 24, 2000; and
WHEREAS, the cable franchisee, Cablevision of Loudoun, is seeking a renewal of the
franchise; and
WHEREAS, on June 10, 1999, the Cable TV Advisory Commission recommended
issuance of the attached Request for Franchise Renewal Proposal to the incumbent cable operator
in accordance with the federal Communications Act.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Mayor and Council hereby authorize the Acting Town Manager to issue the attached Request for
Franchise Renewal Proposal.
