AUTHORIZING THE LEASE OF 206 E. MARKET sTREET FROM THE
MARSHALL INTERNATIONAL CENTER
WHEREAS, due to the renovation and expansion of the Thomas Balch Library which is to begin
in August, 1999, it is necessary to temporarily relocate the library to another location; and
WHEREAS, the tom has contacted the George C. Marshall International Center about leasing
4,000 square feet of the property they own located at 206 E. Market Street; and
WHEREAS, the Marshall International Center has agreed to lease to the town this property at a
rate of $10.00 per square foot for eighteen (18) months beginning August 1, 1999, plus the cost of
utilities and use of the existing shelving units; and
WHEREAS, the town also agrees to equally share in the cost of a partition to separate the
buildings' interior.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Leesburg Town Council that a lease agreement between the
Town of Leesburg and the George C. Marshall International Center for 4,000 square feet of 206 E.
Market Street is hereby authorized and approved.
