RESOLUTION NO. 99-220 ADOPTED July 27, 1999
A RESOLUTION: AWARDING A STREET MAINTENANCE CONTRACT FOR
CONCRETE REPAIRS TO GULL CORPORATION
WHEREAS, on July 15, 1999, two sealed bids were received for the 1999 Concrete
Repairs Program; and
WHEREAS, the bids were evaluated in accordance with the town Purchasing Policy; and
WHEREAS, Gull Corporation is the lowest and responsive and responsible bidder for
this work; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends award of a contract for the 1999 Street Concrete Repairs
program to Gull Corporation.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
SECTION I.
The acting town manager is authorized to execute a unit price contract
with Gull Corporation for concrete repairs in accordance with the bid documents and
specifications, at the unit prices of $4.95 per square foot for removal and replacement of concrete
walk, $27.60 per lineal foot for removal and replacement of curb and gutter, $8.00 per square
foot for removal of curb and gutter, and replacement with exposed aggregate handicap ramps,
and $7.15 per square foot for removal and replacement of concrete driveway aprons for a total
contract value not to exceed $117,866.

SECTION II. Concrete repairs under this contract shall be made in connection with
streets to be resurfaced under the Street Maintenance Contract for Milling and Resurfacing.
