ADOPTED July 27, 1999
A RESOLUTION: RE-APPOINTING CHARLES C. THORNTON JR AND APPOINTING
F. A. "SANDY" DONALDSON, THOMAS S. DUNN II, AND KAREN U. JONES TO THE
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the terms of office of Economic Development Commission members George
Bramhall, Kurt Lackner, George Roberson, and Charles C. Thornton Jr. expired on June 30, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Bramhall, Mr. Lackner, and Mr. Roberson did not seek reappointment; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission interviewed the member seeking
reappointment and eight citizens seeking initial appointment; and
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Commission has recommended to the Town Council
the reappointment of one member and the initial appointment of three new members; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Leesburg Town Council to re-appoint and appoint those
citizens recommended for service by the Economic Development Commission.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
Charles C. Thornton Jr. is re-appointed, and F. A. "Sandy" Donaldson, Thomas S. Dunn II,
and Karen U. Jones are appointed to the Economic Development Commission for two year terms to
expire on June 30, 2001.
