AUTHORIZING AN APPROPRIATION FOR UPGRADES TO THE
TOWN'S INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SYSTEM
WHEREAS, in April, 1999, the Town of Leesburg hired its first Director of Information
Technology; and
WHEREAS, also in April, 1999, the Council formed an Information Technology
Committee to evaluate the town's future information technology needs; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Information Technology and the Committee have evaluated
the town's information technology needs and have determined that immediate improvements are
necessary to upgrade the town's information technology system.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Leesburg Town Council that an appropriation is
authorized from the general fund unappropriated balance in the amount of $128,459 as outlined
in the attached report to upgrade the town's information technology system..
